Whats the number for 911??

Learned another lesson today. real HOT Chile peppers and pickled pepperoncinie (sp?) look alot alike, thats about the end of the similarities, however they ARE both peppers......


here`s that idea i`m working on, this one is rough and I ruined it so many times its held together with glue now.... but just an idea...

I designed a simple project....

... That turned into a megga piece project. Here`s how I got there.

I designed a project some time ago that I never got around to cutting, during a eureka moment a week or so ago I redesigned it and since I`m now free of outside obligations, I wanted to do this one. It is part wood, part etched mirror.
Well I start the project with the mirror, since it is inset in the wood, it is easier to get the wood to fit the mirror and so thats first. Well, I found if you place tape on the mirror first and then tranfer the cut to the tape, it`s easier AND, if you drop the mirror on the floor like it did, it`ll save you alot of time. U can pick up the pieces and throw them away much faster with this technique.

I`m off on my third attempt, and i`m off to grind the edges of the mirror now.... maybe I should leave the tape on.... too cold out to find all the broken glass in the snow....

I may have mentioned that I was working on a paid project. I had kinda promised it for the 15th of this month. I`m workin on it, and I guessed it to be a 75 cut design. I rough counted how many cuts I have left and it was about 45. Hmmm, I rough counted the cuts i`ve done and about 35. Looks like 80 to me., damn I`m good at guessin. Even better at wasting time instead of cutting....

I started to design a new piece that should look very nice, tested some things with glass, mirrors and other things, just gotta test with sand blasting wood. While doing all this, I had a ureaka moment. Another project I was working on has stalled many times, Now I think I have better ideas for that one! And another one that was in line to be cut, I`ve decided something NEW with it too..... This is why I get nothing done, overthink everything WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to much.

I`ve had this year b4, damn recycled years

Well, I was sure I`d make a good run at my new years resolutions but I`m ashamed to admit that within ten minutes of leavin my house on new years day (Jan 1 07 duh), I`d broken damn near every resolution.... and today I know I`ve broken every damn one of em. So b4 u judge me, how`d u do?

Burned my ass

I kinda fizzled out on the donkey piro. Although I think I did a good job on the pattern and even nice on the actual wood.... but I`m using the wrong medium. Gotta go see what a good wood to burn is.

I`m like 3 weeks into a Portrait I was hired to do. I worked like a dog this weekend so far (ate, slept and crapped in the yard) but despite this, I `m working on the FINAL little no one cares about details today.
I`ll have to call my "customer" tomorrow to OK the final pattern and then i`m off in search of a canvas. I have something I`d like to use but we`ll see.
Oh and I learned that new software I was trying to learn and I dunno. Think I still do way better job than it does on a pattern. Takes me HOURS to do a pattern but it beats this software's final work....


anyway. Got one last light box appointment, a little paintshop final smacks and she`s done..... hope to share pics soon, but as always, I let the paying customer see it first. :-)
